European Plastic Surgery Research Council

Dear colleagues and friends,

I am pleased to invite you to participate in the 15th annual meeting of the European Plastic Surgery Research Council (EPSRC), which will be held in Brno, south Moravia, in the Czech Republic on August 22nd – 24th 2024.

The motto of the 15th meeting is “Crafting the future, one innovation at a time” which defines the basic idea of the EPSRC society funders and early MS Cap San Diego meeting participants, which was to support the young plastic surgeons and researchers’ community. We are honoured to welcome you to our city, Brno, inspiring minds from all continents, to share knowledge and discuss at the grounds of the Masaryk University Campus. At the age of artificial intelligence, we expect a bloom of new ideas and topics to be included in our scientific programme. We are happy to announce a collaboration with the “International Microsurgery Club” (IMC) for the EPSRC 2024 Brno meeting, to join us in person and become a part of mutual global platform.

For the purpose of the EPSRC society meeting, we found Brno to be the perfect place, reflecting the city's illustrious stature as a hub of medical innovation—a lineage that traces back to Johann Gregor Mendel, Ferdinand von Hebra and Johannes F. S. Esser.

Brno offers a rich cultural background with a charming historical city centre to enjoy both, during the day, and the night. The surroundings of Brno are recognised by the occurrence of the Battle of Austerlitz, the winning battle of the French emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte.

The peaceful atmosphere of the south Moravian landscape, inspired famous artists such as Milan Kundera and Leos Janacek to create the best of their works.
